My beautiful church is in need of major repairs and we are a very small congregation so we don't have much funds. The story has been on the news but If you haven't seen it here is a link to one article. Even $5 or $10 helps if you are able to donate anything.

They need to apply for grants and to see what the town might be able to contribute, as it is a historic structure that contributes to the atmosphere of Main Street. Southampton has money to help fix old buildings.

It is a shame the church was never examined before this. Sacred Hearts in Southampton was in bad shape years ago and was rebuilt as was Our Lady Of Poland Church, which if I remember correctly also was about to collapse. Both got large contributions from the community.

A committee was formed for Sacred Hearts and it worked hard to raise the money, both by fundraisers it ran and through calling people, and not just regular congregation members, directly for donations. The Polish church was fortunate as it unexpectedly got an angel donor who covered all the costs.
