New apartment gifts
DH cousins are getting married in August and are moving into their first apartment this week. Want to put something cute together for them.... Any ideas what to put in a basket for them???

This isn't cute but I got it as a gift and was so happy cuz I never would've thought to get it myself- flashlights fire extinguishers smoke detectors tape measures little set of screwdrivers etc
Also received a bunch of board games
Do they know how to cook? Maybe a cookbook with a few staple ingredients in a basket?
Some takeout menus from places near them in case home cooked dinners fail?

New apartment gifts
I've heard of people making gift baskets of decor for holidays for which they might want to decorate - so some kitchen towels and other little decor items for holidays like valentines day, st pattys day, memorial day/4th of july/labor day, halloween, thanksgiving, christmas/channukah, ne wyears

We lived I an apartment for many years, and keep in mind, the space is really tight. One thing we used all the time was a small tool set. It came in a slim box and fit on the shelf of our closet, barely taking up room. Tape measure, small hammer, Picture hangers, screwdrivers, level, etc.

He's a carpenter in the union so he's got all the tools needed! The food one sounds good! Spices add up fast and all those little things! Thanks!

I did a basket once for my friends who moved into a new apartment, and I put in little things that would run out of but need (tissues, cleaning supplies, etc.).

My go to is a personalized Christmas ornament (if they celebrate) with "New Home" and the year on it. Though it IS harder to find new home, rather than new house ornaments. I got something like this for SIL when she closed on her condo....
