My baby is always hungry!
I usually feed my 3 month old DS 4 bottles a day with 6.5 oz of formula. He usually sleeps about 11 hours straight. The past few nights, however, he has been waking twice for another bottle. Last night, he had almost 40 oz in a 24 hour period. I don't mind giving it to him if he needs it, but is it too much? Should I give him more ounces during the day? My DD never drank more than 6 oz at a time so this is all new to me.

He is probably going through a growth spurt. I would increase the ounces in the bottles during the day or add in another bottle. When my DD was that age, she was drinking 5-6 bottles a day.

Growth spurt. Might want to up to 8oz during the day and see how he does with that.

I would definitely add another bottle during the day. He's likely getting too hungry before his next bottle so he's trying to eat at night.

Feed more during the day. Offer 8 oz bottles and see if he'll take it. 40oz a day is fine. DS was drinking that and now he's a healthy, lean 2 year old. DS never took more than a 6 oz bottle, but I usually always offered a bigger bottle before bed to help get through the night.
