Yes, in fact the nurses encouraged us to shove stuff in the closet so they could refill DS's bassinet.

I remember I felt weird about taking things because it made me feel cheap. lol. Like those people who empty out hotel rooms. But the nurse kept telling us to take it all so we eventually did throw it all in our bag before we left. We even got a humidifier. Pretty cool.

Yes me too. My nurses were so great- bringing in tons of extra packs of diapers and enfamil. Telling DH to take them home at night so we could get more.
When I hear that hospitals are non stingy with formula I'm like wow, what a difference from when I was there!

damn skippy we did! LIJ provided big plastic bags and both my NICU and my maternity nurses filled them up with supplies, chucks, diapers, RTF formula, diaper cream, nipple cream, pump supplies, pads, mesh undies, I'm sure I'm forgetting things they gave me. The nursing and aide staff stocked us up!

Hell yes! I took everything that wasn't nailed down and the nurses at LIJ hooked us up -- we had 3 big duffle bags full of supplies. I thought to myself there was no way we'd actually use everything we got -- all the supplies were gone in like 2-3 weeks. If I could have rolled out that in-room bassinet that DD slept in discreetly I would have.

With my first I did. Plus we knew one of the nurse's aides and she filled bags for us and my BIL would take home bags of diapers whenever he came to see us.
My 2nd was in NICU so there was alot less to take- but I did grab the pacifiers and snot suckers. Everything else was under lock and key and by that time the hospital started being more stingy.
With my 3rd I practically had to beg to get the supplies I needed while I was there- forget about any extra.

Same here. Idk bc we had twins but every night when dh left they have him no joke two shopping bags full of nursettes
