I have a 2.5 yr old and already can't remember for the life of me! when do infants stop napping every couple of hours and have 2 sorta scheduled naps a day?

Ds is 7 months and he is basically on a schedule with 2 naps a day, obe after breakfast and one in the mid-late afternoon (now after his lunch).

I'd say between 6-8 months.

2 naps a day?
You're asking when the go to 2 naps a day, right? Not when they drop 2 naps for 1?
Around 4 months she was on predictable 2 naps. 10am and 2pm roughly. At 10 months she went to 1 nap completely on her own. It just got layer and longer so no need for pm nap.

Dd1 didn't drop her third nap until around 8 months. Then she went down to one around 10 months.

Ohhh lol. DD was never a napper after the newborn age. I'd say around 4m she went from 3 to 2 and then around 1, dropped the 2nd. But she's been a pretty amazing sleeper since birth so I can't complain.

2 naps a day?
My DS started napping somewhat consistently 5 months with 3 naps a day. 2 longish ones, and 1 short one. Since 9-10 months he's been consistent with 2 naps a day. He is almost 1 year old and still rocking 2 naps a day for now.

around 5-6 months he went to 2 definite naps. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. The afternoon nap sometimes is only 30 minutes.

I think my Dd went to 2 naps per day around 6-7 months. Then she went down to 1 nap per day around 17-18 months. She is 4 and still naps but it can vary from 45 mins to 2 hours.

I think there's a good deal of variation from baby to baby. My 3 all went to 2 naps somewhere between 4 and 6 months.

Re: 2 naps a day?
Thanks everyone! Yes I was looking for when an infant begins a regular nap schedule. So it sounds like between 4-6 months is average.
