Best elmo doll?
My son also loves the steps to school doll but recently is pulling out the hug me elmo which actually higs back -- it is freaky and is as tall as him!!

there are just so many of them lol
I think the steps to school one is cute because it has a zipper, a snap, and a velcro tab so they can learn how to dress. It also has songs about the alphabet, numbers, and getting ready for school.

Yeah I'm leaning towards that one. There's also teach me elmo that you can tie shoes. Button, buckle, etc. it doesn't sing or talk tho, but that makes it plush not hard. It's also by gund so it's softer.

Bought this one. It's going in with dds gifts from her Baby sister to give her at the hospital.
