Is Rocking Horse Ranch worth it?

Dh and I just looked into rocking horse ranch for a summer getaway with the kids. Wow, it's expensive for adults! Is it really worth it? If we were to go, our DDs would be 4 1/2 and 18 months. Is there enough for the 18 month old to do?

Fwiw, I called for a quote and for 4 of us it was 2k for 2 nights. Yes all inclusive, but I still found it expensive. We could do Hershey park cheaper

I think the kids are too little to take advantage of everything. Its all inclusive they have water skiing, banana boat, paddle boats, rock climbing and of course Horseback riding. your kids are probably too small to do most of that and its hard for the parents to do the activities with kids present. They have daycare but that you have to pay extra for. they have a little water park inside for the kids which is awesome, but its small. they have the indoor pool as well as out door both with slides. The food is very good and you can bring your own liquor and drink it anywhere (pool, restaurant, lounge). They have nice shows at night for the kids. I think kids that are a little older benefit from the activities more. We go up every winter and love it but my kids are old enough to take advantage of everything.

If you are going for the horseback riding, I say no. You could pay for a years worth of private lessons with that $$$

My kids are 4 and 2 and I won't take them yet since I don't think it's worth the money. You can literally do disney or a cruise (not disney) for that much. Much more bang for your buck. We are doing Dutch wonderland this summer for a fraction of that.

We did Woodloch pines which I believe is similar. For the age of my kids at the time (almost 4 and 7m) they were able to do the vast majority of things in May except outdoor pool and swimming in lake and things like water skiing and it was dramatically cheaper. We would like to go back but will wait until the fall because it's very pricey in the summer and I don't think there is enough of a difference for us at their age. Our 3yo had a total blast though, plenty of activities and very family friendly. We just don't think its worth summer prices.

If we wanted to spend $$$$$$$ on a family vacation we would do beaches Turks and Caicos which I heard is amazing and may actually be more reasonable come summer.

In the winter, yes IMO, in the Summer not at all. We went in the winter this past January and loved it (aside from the germy buffet set up). Felt it was totally worth it for winter fun (skiing, tubing, horseback riding, shows, entertainment, small waterpark, etc.)

Thanks! Is it a lot less price-wise in the winter?

Nope, pretty much the same last I checked. I think we paid $1,700 for 2 nights. I wouldn't expect the winter to be less to be honest since they offer full service tubing and skiing with instruction included.

We went to Pinegrove during the winter and had a blast. It is def not as nice as Rocking Horse but it was fine, the room was clean and the food was good. They have lots of promos
