Which swaddle blankets are the best?
My SIL is due in a few weeks and she plans on swaddling. There seem to be a ton of brands for baby swaddlers and she's not sure which to use. I used the SwaddleMe with DS, but that was almost 6 years ago now. I remember him being able to break out of it towards the end, but it was also very easy to use compared to the Miracle Blanket. Now there are other brands like aden + anais and some others and it's been so long for me that I wouldn't know the first bit of advice to give her since I don't know how these other brands compare.
So, newer mommies, which swaddle blanket did you find worked the BEST?

Exactly this!
I tried a bunch of other Swaddle sacks snd hated all of them except for halo with Velcro. The others were never long enough for dd.
Aden and anais makes the best muslin swaddle blankets.

agreed. I used the aden and anais for the first few months, until DS began coming out of them completely and one morning I found the blanket up by his neck... I said OK, no more. That's when I switched to the swaddle sacks, which I used until very recently. Now I use the Halo sleepsack if I use anything.

Re: Which swaddle blankets are the best?
I loved, and still use, my PBK swaddled blankets. They wash so well, they hold up so well, and now I use them as blankets. It's a dual-purpose. My son loved his swaddled blankets from PBK.
I liked Aden & Anais but I didn't feel they held up that great in the wash. They kind of shrunk a lot and faded a lot -- and, almost 22 months later, I don't use them for other uses -- I use the PBK ones bc they still look great and work as a blanket when he sleeps in the crib, in a stroller, wherever.
Hope that helps!

Re: Which swaddle blankets are the best?
I should add that once he broke out of them I did use a Halo Sleep Sack which was really nice too... but that didn't happen until around seven months for my son. He was swaddled forever! LOL! And I held onto my blankets and used them once he was old enough to no longer need the sleep sack... well, he actually outgrew it length-wise LOL!

I'm a huge fan of the halo swaddle sacks. Neither of my girls could break out of them and the bottom is roomy which is good for their hips. As far as blankets I liked the ones that carters sells that come in a 2 pack. They're big, square, and a little stretchy so perfect for swaddling.
