ready to feed formula - refrigerating/heating
so we used powder with my first.
this time we are using rtf just bc thats what the hospital gave us. I'm finding it to be more annoying bc then we have to refrigerate the unused and then warm it up each time.
am i missing something with the rtf?
if you use rtf do you use a bottle warmer each time?

I did with my first. But now I'm using powder and my DD drinks it right out of the fridge.

I pre made bottles each day with RTF then heated under hot water tap. At about. 9 mo they got impatient waiting and didn't mind it cold. I had 16 bottles per day with different formula for my twins so pre making was easier.

I'm in the minority but I loved my bottle warmer. I pre-made the bottles and when I knew it was almost time to feed DS I popped one in the warmer. Made my life easier. When we went out I warmed them with a cup of hot water. Never had an issue.

I only used RTF with my DS because it was what was recommended by my ped. You can just run the bottle under hot water if you don't want to use the bottle warmer.

i hated the RTF for that exact reason. I find powder and room temperature water MUCH easier

Same here! You're not alone.
There were times that bottle warmer was so clutch I could have air humped it - I loved that thing! To me, it was SUPER convenient.
If I knew I was going to be "on the go" I kept some "on the go" bottles of Similac (they make those) handy. It looks like a little Ensure bottle, and it's the perfect size for a bottle. So those were awesome when I was running around but typically the bottle warmer was what I used and if I went to a relatives house my bottle warmer was so light and easy I would just bring it! It warmed that sucker to the perfect temp!

I gave it to DS cold, straight form the fridge.
DH had issues with that, but DS did not mind one bit.
RFT was actually easier for me because it was just pour into bottle and feed. No need to measure and mix for the 3 am feeding when i'm exhausted and half asleep.
