Boston with kids

Thinking of taking a 3 night trip there this summer. The twins are babies so I am more focused on my boys- they are 4 & 2. Looking for hotel recommendations and fun things to do with them. We would probably arrive around noon on a Monday and stay until Thursday night around bedtime so the kids sleep on the drive home. So we will have almost 4 full days to do stuff. My 4 yr old LOVES aquariums so I am thinking the aquarium is a must do. Maybe one museum- which is better, the children's museum or the science museum? Thinking the freedom trail too. But not sure if that is boring for kids. Any hotels with pools? Any ideas are welcome!! TIA

The children museum is great there. Definitely recommend that.

Went there this past october with my then 3yr old and 7month old. We stayed at the marriot wharf I think it is called. It is right across from the aquarium. We did the aquarium and the park/ shopping area right there and then we went to Northeastern University Campus (DH went to college there). We hung out in the indoor hotel pool and that was it. Was only there 2 days

We went last August.
Anything near the aquarium is perfect.

We did aquarium, boat & museum (USS constitution), freedom trail (essentially a nice walk), carousel outdoors, tea party museum (very fun, even for young kids).

We missed the children's museum (not enough time), but did go to cape cod for whale watching (huge hit).
