Date with DS
So DS is 5 and school is closed tomorrow until Tuesday for Memorial Day. I had all the days covered until DS asked last night "can you go on a date with me on Thursday, mom? It will be the perfect start to our weekend.
So I was unable to say no to that request. Now I am taking the day tomorrow. Any suggestions of a "date" with a 5 year old?
I want to give a few ideas and let him pick. And no Bounce U- I made that suggestion and he was just there and he wants to do something different. "Something special just you and me." was the only thing he said he wanted.

Where do you live?
I would suggest the Holtsville Ecology Center for a walk through the "zoo" to see the animals and then have a picnic at the playground area. It would be so cute. But you can also do a picnic at any park, I just like Holtsville because it also has the animals and I feel it makes it much more special.
You can also go to Nunley's Carousel in Garden City area. The children's museum is there too so you could do that with it.
Also adventureland is open! If you both like rides, you can spend the day there.

I thought only the kiddie rides were open at Adventureland tomorrow.
I'm in Lynbrook- I would go into the city but I'm afraid the weather might not hold up.

We go on dates to the movies, lunch and dessert or frozen yogurt. Lunch I'll let him order a frozen drink of some kind. He loves Red Lobster.
Maybe you can do monster mini golf or bowling.

Aww that is so cute. Movies, lunch, bowling, Airpower Museum if he likes airplanes, aquarium, zoo, a farm out east.
