I am I the only one? Difficulty with using a seatbelt and high back booster
My daughter just switched from the 5 point harness to a hi back booster with seat belt (lap and shoulder of course) Her seat is behind the drivers seat. I feel like there is barely any room to fasten the seat belt. It buckles on the opposite side of the door. And she has trouble buckling it herself. I have GMC Acadia and a bitrax frontier 90.
Don't get me wrong I eventually snap it in but sometimes I have to actual climb in! Is this normal or is it just me? ETA: She's a month shy of 6 years old

DH just converted the seat in his car and there is no way DD can fasten the seat belt herself. He does it from the other side of the car every time she gets in or out.

Re: I am I the only one? Difficulty with using a seatbelt and high back booster
We have the graco apex? I think that's what it's called, it's the high back booster with latch. The seatbelt stays inside the seat and my kids are able to turn and click it right in pretty easily. My 6 and 5 YO have been able to do it no problem since day 1.
Eta- my 5 yo only plays with it while we are waiting for my son to get off the bus, she is still in a 5 pt harness, but wanted to say it was easy to do, even for her.

it's annoying. - I have an Acura MDX and an Audi A4 and I have to basically get in the car and reach over every time. He can unbuckle it himseld, but he can't buckle it yet - My little one is still in the harness

Same problem. My son (almost 7) can't buckle himself at all. Half the time I'm laying over him trying to get the buckle in.

Is the booster seat too wide for the vehicle seat? Or does the female side of the buckle move to much for them to be able to click it in?

I bought these to help make it easier to buckle. They are great and make it so much easier for my 4 year old to do the buckle himself. http://www.amazon.com/MyBuckleMate-Buckle-Holder-Black-Count/dp/B00OZ82M4K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1430843684&sr=8-1&keywords=seat+belt+holder buckle holder

You can also cut a piece of pool noodle (that has a hole in the middle) to help prop it up too.
