Newly potty trained question
DD finally decided to use the potty and has done great!  Just wondering what everyone does while out?
I did a search and saw a lot of recommendations for the potette which I have but do people really carry that thing around in their bag? Does anyone use the folding seats? Do you just hold them on the regular seat? I already forsee her flipping out about loud flushing and hand driers. Then there's having to help her while toting the baby in with us. I'm dreading leaving the house for more than an hour! Any tips?

Newly potty trained question
We have the potette thing for the car, and I used to carry one of the folding seats in my bag for a while.
But honestly, at this point she just uses the regular toilet seat and we wash hands very well afterwards.
I was more paranoid about public toilets with my first kid, now not so much lol

we have the folding potty seat that i bring with us when we are out. dd is only 2 and will not sit on the regular potty without a seat...its too big for her.

I hold dd over the toilet , I hold her back and under her knees of that makes sense

we just use the regular potty, i carry wipes and wipe down the seat.

we do keep a little potty that folds up in the back of the car (i think its the potette? uses plastic bags and I throw dollar store maxi pads in there rather than buying the special bags, works for us), but for public bathrooms i just set DD or DS legs very far apart to more straddle the seat, and wash wash wash our hands afterwards (and throw some sanitizer on top for good measure). DD was great with public toilets, then all of a sudden got fearful, but are working back to using them again. We try to make it a game too like "oooh I wonder what the potty at Ikea looks like! Lets go look!"

Newly potty trained question
We have a travel potty for the car in case of emergency. When we are out though I just hold DS on the seat. Wash hands and that's it. I can't get all crazy about germs. And the loud noises were a slight issue at first now he loves the dryers.

I never had a problem with public bathrooms.
Never heard of anyone getting a disease from them & the kids both had no trouble straddling the toilet from the age of 2.
For the car, I kept a travel potty until they would pee on command anywhere (DS had no problem, DD was a bit harder).

Same here. With DD1 we did have to use it a few times, DD2 has been trained for a month and has never had to use it.
We have disposable (Dora the Explorer) seat covers I keep in my bag - they are more to entice the girls to pee while we are out than for sanitary reasons!
