Fun (cheap) toys for 2 or 4 year old BOYS?

I am having a few friends and their children over to celebrate my DDs first birthday. It is mostly boys 2 year and 4 year olds. I have no boy toys and nothing really for 2 or 4 year olds in general. Any toys I can go out and buy maybe at 5 below or dollar tree that will keep them entertained? I am not sure if we will be inside or outside. I was thinking bubbles? maybe some type of ball? Any other suggestions?
Thanks! =)

Bubbles, chalk, play dough are probably safe bets but all the boys I know around that age travel with at least a few little cars wherever they go.

Stickers are also a hit. Little trucks/cars.

Great ideas! Thanks Girls! I dont want to assume they will bring stuff with them so I figure even for 20 bucks I can buy a few odds and ends to keep them occupied =)

Definitely cars and trucks, like hot wheels. I also buy my DS dinosaurs at dollar tree and he loves them. Balls are always a hit, bubbles too

My boys are 4 and 6 - and anything with wheels, or wings is ALWAYS a hit. Nothing fancy - My boys will play for hours with matchbox cars!
Also, bubbles, a t and bat/ball, soccer ball etc. (I would steer clear of play dough and stickers w/ a bigger group of kids b/c you'll find that crap everywhere!)

Re: Fun (cheap) toys for 2 or 4 year old BOYS?

Our AC Moore is right next to Five Below so I get a ton of stuff inexpensive

Those $1 puzzles in a bag with superheros
cars
any ball (get one for each bc they tend to fight, but they're cheap enough)
AC Moore has tons of stickers (pack of over 400 for $1 each)
construction paper
bubbles
Match games
wiffle ball and bat

For AC Moore or Michaels you can always get a 40% off a single item and Five below has the balls, wiffle balls, hula hoops, etc.
