First shoes
DD is 13m and not walking. I've always heard to not put shoes on til they start walking well. Her daycare has requested that we bring shoes in for her since they're going outside to play and her socks are getting dirty. Should i just get her stride rite shoes or just grab a cheap pair of shoes for now?

I would still get the stride rite ones. Does she walk holding hands?

Yup. And cruises. Walks with her push walker. Pretty much everything but on her own.

I use these and the Target shoes that are a similar style for dd who is at the same stage with walking. They are perfect for covering the feet but still allow them to feel the floor and ground.

Re: First shoes
I would go with stride rite. she might start walking soon. They have shoes that are good for cruisers and can still be used when they start walking.

Re: First shoes
Soft soles until she starts walking. These are just to keep her socks clean. Once she starts walking you can go to Stride Rite and get real walking shoes. They won't fit your daughter for walking shoes if she isn't walking.

Thanks everyone. I got her a cheap pair of shoes from target that fit her. It's just for when she goes outside. We'll hit up stride rite whenever she decides to start walking!

We use the carter's ones which are not too expensive and he walks outside with them fine.
