Food for 1 yr old
DS is super fussy and on a kick where he only wants yogurt, puffs and oatmeal. I would like to see him take something else too. He's not a good chewer yet - chokes very easily - but snubs purees. Any ideas? TIA!

Have you tried bread, pasta or even some risotto? You can add some veggies to them or cheese even?

DS can be the same way, but has moments where he is an excellent eater.
He is a HUGE fan of all types of berries. He also loves bananas. He also loves cheese.
Have you tried veggies pouches? DS will suck them down in like 2 minutes. It's the only way I can get him to eat veggies (aside from cucumbers and tomatoes).
His other favorites are grilled cheese, chicken quesadillas, eggplant parm, lasagna, eggs, toast with jam and/or peanut butter.
Also is he gagging or choking? DS used to gag a lot in the beginning when we were introducing table foods around 8 months, but has since outgrown it.

I've tried bread and pasta - he's good with most things the first time or two and then after that he'll have nothing to do with it.

I cannot even imagine DS eating grilled cheese, quesadillas, etc. I WISH!
He's mostly just gagging but he'll gag to the point where he starts choking - he's even made himself throw up. But sure enough I give him yogurt and all is right in the world again! Some things aren't so extreme. For example if I give him eggs he just spits it out or takes it out of his mouth and throws it on the floor - nevertheless he's not eating it.
I know he'll outgrow it eventually - just want to make sure I don't enable the bad habit.
