Any recommendations for a car that can accommodate 2 car seats?
We need a new car. I hate driving my truck. I want to go back to a car. My concern is being able to comfortably accommodate 2 car seats. I do a lot of driving so my preference is to having something that is fuel efficient. Any suggestions or suggestions of what not to get? No Subaru please.

I have a 2015 Corolla. Right now we have one car seat in it but another one will fit just fine, which is great since #2 will be arriving in a few months! We also have a 2012 Prius and same deal.
We are sedan/hatchback people. No suv's, crossovers, or mini vans here!

I had a Chrylser 200 and I had my DS and nephew in there at the same time. Also I drove my mom's Camry at the holidays with 2 car seats in it and my sister was in the middle of the 2

I would assume most cars can fit 2 car seats, no? Or do you want room for a passenger in the middle?
I have an older model Civic and my 2 seats fit fine.

Re: Any recommendations for a car that can accommodate 2 car seats?
We have an Infinity qx60 and loveeee the space in it. When DH is driving, he likes to push his seat all the way back which is not a problem with me at all now (it was when we had our Jeep Liberty) cause I still have a lot of room left, so adding another infant car seat will def not be a problem.
Oh and I have to add, it does not feel big at all!

I have an SUV so won't recommend mine bc I know you asked for a car rec.
The VW Passat is nice. Or a Nissan Maxima. I think any full size sedan would be comfortable with two kids.

I spend a lot of time in my car so I need something that's a little more spacious and can fit a person in the middle.
I'm looking for a mid-sized car that has pep to it. I still haven't gotten over my DH returning my completely impractical sports car to trade in for my mom mobile. I'm looking for a compromise.

My DH's Honda Accord could absolutely fit 2 carseats with no problem... in fact, I think it's more spacious than my CX5. And it definitely has a ton of pep, I get in it and feel like I'm in my old monte carlo compared to my CX5 (which has almost no pep).

The fit but if there's not a lot of leg room in the back seat it's terrible, especially if anyone is rear facing. DH's jeep liberty is terrible wih that

If you want 2 car seats plus room for a person in the back, I think you might have a tough time finding anything. We have an SUV and I can't even imagine a 3rd person squishing in the middle.

What about a Kia Optima. I test drove it when I got my 200 and it was Fast!!!! Def room for 2 seats and probably a person. Tight but doable. And it really depends on the seats. I have super wide ones and could still fit a person in the Camry.

I have an Accord and a CRV and the Accord is roomier than the CRV! Huge trunk and could easily accommodate 2 car seats. Plus you can always get a good lease deal on a Honda.

Re: Any recommendations for a car that can accommodate 2 car seats?
Thanks for the suggestions. We will add them to the list. I don't know much about Kia's so I will have to research them.
We are going to look at the Maxima, BMW 535, one of the Infinitis and now we'll add the Honda Accord to the list. 90% of the time it's me by myself in the car. I realize I might be having a pipe dream thinking I can get fun and practical because they really don't go together but I want to try.

I always forget about VW. I'll have to look into them too.

Re: Any recommendations for a car that can accommodate 2 car seats?
It's tough to find a sporty, mid sized spacious, fuel efficient car.
What about the ford fusion? They have a sport package which has a little pep, they are spacious and come in hybrid options. Although my guess is that you would sacrifice some pep for fuel economy. Only thing is it's a full sized sedan not a mid sized car.
Also consider the Dodge Charger.
The Nissan Maxima is another good choice. It's peppy and spacious, but again a full sized sedan. Not as good on gas.
If you're looking to go a little more luxury, I would definitely recommend the Audi A6. It's smooth and peppy, mid sized, and somewhat fuel efficient if you keep it in economy mode and only shift it into sport mode on occasion.

These sedans have been tested to easily fit 3 carseats across the back (which would lead to a grown up person being able to fit comfortably with two seats installed).
2015 Dodge Challenger 2014 Ford Taurus 2013 Chevrolet Impala 2013 Chrysler 300 2011 Chrysler 300 and 300C
We have an Accord. I've sat in the back with the two carseats and it's really not that comfortable.

I have an Audi A4 and the carseats are find back there - but you can't fit a 3rd passenger.

I have a Subaru Outback and it's very spacious for my 2 DD's. It's more carlike than other crossovers.
