What bag for dressy event with kids
I have a bar mitzvah next month with the kids. My stubborn 3 yr old is still in pull ups. You can read my other post venting how stubborn he is about it. Anyway, what to bring that will hold wipes, pull ups, my stuff, etc to the reception? Last year we had a bat mitzvah and I brought my petunia pickle bottom bc I didn't care since he was 2 and kept it under the table all night. I threw a clutch in it with some make up stuff I took out when I went to the bathroom. Now I use my Tory Burch tote when I go out with the kids. Seems too big. What would you do?

What about a regular dress pocketbook for you, and a small backpack for DH? Especially at a bar mitzvah, I don't think it is out of place for a small obviously child-focused bag. I bring dd's princess Sofia backpack to occasions all the time. And I kind of like the boundaries of keeping my grownup stuff separate from her essentials.
