Need feeding help
Actually I don't know if I am asking the impossible, but I figured I would see.
Ok - Ali has been taking a bottle at about 7:30-8:00 every night. Then she is waking at about 2:30-3:00 for another one. Then awakes about 7:00-8:00 for her next one. She usually doesn't go to sleep until about 10:00ish.
Now my question is - would you wake her for another feeding - so that maybe she would sleep through the night? Or would you leave her alone.
Any advice would be appreciated - thanks

Re: Need feeding help
I would not wake her, unless she is having weight issues and the doctor instructed you to.

Re: Need feeding help
never wake a sleeping baby....
she will drop that middle of the night feeding on her own....I think she's sleeping quite well for her age!

Re: Need feeding help
How old is she? For a while we were feeding her in her sleep right before we went to sleep, it helped get a lot more sleeping time out of her.
She wouldn't even wake up, but would still spit the bottle out when she was done.

Re: Need feeding help
Marcie - I have a 7 week old. Her last feeding would always fall about 12:30 AM...we DO wake her for this feeding...then she doesnt wakw till about 6:30 AM. (if Im lucky) :) I tried NOT waking her the other night and she woke me by 2:30 AM...I dont now about you, but Id much rather wake at 6:30 than 2:30 am just my experience....

Re: Need feeding help
I would dream feed her about 11pm-12pm so she drops the middle of the night feeding. No need to burp her - they don't gulp down as much air in their sleep.

Re: Need feeding help
Its funny, I posted this - she woke up for a 11:15 feeding - then she woke at 3:30 for another. I guess she is not ready to give up that middle of the night feeding.
Thank you all for your advice
