Beyhive launches attack on unretouched photos of Beyonce

Beyonce has yet to comment on the unretouched photos, which were immediately taken down by the website soon after they were posted. (They were picked up by Complex and Gawker.)
The outtakes appear to be from Beyonce's adverts for L'Oreal's Feria and Infallible products, which advertise hair dyes, lipsticks and foundations.
Due to the widespread condemnation of the images, though, the fansite has since removed them and has posted a message.

'Due to the disdain of the BeyHive, we have removed the photos,' the statement reads.
'We don’t want to cause any drama, nor do we wish to start fan wars. Some of the things we have seen posted were just horrible, and we don’t want any parts of it. We were just posting the photos to share the fact that our queen is naturally beautiful, at the same time she is just a regular woman.'

This is not the first time L'Oreal has been under scrutiny for editing Beyonce's photos.
The brand was accused of whitening Beyonce's skin for another Feria ad in 2008.

The former Destiny's Child singer has been a loyal celebrity spokesmodel since she was 18-years-young.
In May 2013, clothing empire H&M attempted to retouch photos of Beyonce's curvy figure for their Spring/Summer ad campaign.

'When Beyonce found out they had edited the way her body really looks, she hit the roof,' said an insider to The Sun. 'She's a true diva and was furious that she had been given such a snubbing.'
Adding: 'Her people refused to give the pictures the green light so H&M were forced to use the originals.'

In 2013, Beyonce's publicist tried to have 'unflattering' photos of her client performing at the Super Bowl taken down.

In an email to Buzzfeed - which posted pictures from her Halftime performance - her rep wrote: 'There are some unflattering photos on your current feed that we are respectfully asking you to change. I am certain you will be able to find some better photos.'
Instead of taking down the article, the site changed the post's title to 'The "Unflattering" Photos Beyonce's Publicist Doesn't Want You To See' and the images went viral and turned into memes.

I'm not surprised but I will say her publicists reaction is pretty disgusting. I really wish more celebs would embrace the way they naturally look and be proud of it. These celebs that refuse to have any outward appearance other than this perfect airbrushed look is the reason why so many normal women have body issues today. Seeing that Beyoncé's skin isn't as flawless as she always looks makes me feel like "ok...she's a human being like everyone else" but then seeing that her publicist is running around trying to get "unflattering" pictures of her removed just makes me think "Ok...the b!tch HAS to always have this perfect image". Great roll model

I recently read that she has a staff that just documents her life 24/7 via videos, photos, etc. I don't know if this is true, but it wouldn't shock me either.

I wish she would just own up to her flaws instead of throwing a fit and demanding unflattering photos of her be taken down immediately. Some feminist she is.

Is anyone really surprised by this? We all know those ads and make up commercials are totally air brushed and fake. She is in her 30's now and she probably would look better with a washed face than all that caked on makeup but it's for a photoshoot.

Well this just tells me that I'm not putting my make up on wrong or just picking the wrong things. It looks like Sh!t on her just as it does on me. Only difference is you only see pics of her retouched to make it look good.

She looks fine, one laugh line and a few bumps? I'm 33 and my skin looks the same. I don't feel so bad about it...

I don't understand why anyone gives a $hit about these stupid "untouched" celebrity pics. Is there really ANYONE on the planet that thinks that people we see in commercials, magazines, professional photos etc, actually look like that in REAL LIFE??? Even celebrities wish they looked like themselves in the pics!!

This is such an attention getting ploy, look at me all untouched!! Aren't I stunning and so "regular". Everyone tell me how beautiful I am now. Gag me.

FTR, airbrushed or not, I don't find anything that beautiful about Beyonce.

Why are we all shocked that she wouldn't want unflattering pics of herself out for everyone to mock? Would you? If you had the ability to stop people from posting pics when you don't look great, you wouldn't utilize that ability? I would. I HATE when people post a pic of me and I HATE how I look in it.
If you had bad skin and your older, which is not always controllable no matter how much $ you have, and theres photoshop to make it go away then hellz yes I would be all for it too.
She is Beyoncé because shes not you or me, shes not the average girl. Shes paid what shes paid, she is who she is, because shes not average.
Do you think models are models because they are average? Actresses are average? NO, they are like freaks of nature, they aren't your average girl walking down the block or working in Whole Foods. And that's why we all obsess over them or love them or hate them. Cause they aren't average.

I personally cannot stand her but Im not clear why were all attacking her for doing what we all do.
I put on makeup everyday. not heavy just tinted moisturizer and mascara. I do my hair everyday, comb it make sure its nice. Even if Im throwing it up in a pony... I dress nicely, meaning put together. I like to be put together even if Im running errands and I am in sweatpants. My sweatpants are clean, my outfit matches. and so on. We all care how we look... PERIOD... why are we shocked?
