Jill and Derek Dilliard Wedding
Did anybody watch last night?
I have been reading that freejinger site and have learned so much.
I watched and thought some parts were sad, happy and creepy. lol.
LOVE how Jessa did say to her mother about maybe she will just elope. I wanted to give her a high five for that.

I really have been intrigued by this family. The father creeps me out. I know they work hard and seem to really love each other but he says weird stuff.

Yes, his mom was just in the hospital the day before. She was probably really not up to going that day either

I watched it-I was wondering why they ran out like that? no pose for pictures? Guess they FINALLY wanted a moment of privacy with no one around! and no reception? Just the wedding and desserts?

Probably because they had to STILL have a chaperone the day of the wedding. That was just ridiculous. They needed to escape JB. lol.

Yep they went to go call his mom to see how she was and JB told them they needed to bring a chaperone.
My 11 yr. old, who is smarter than JB said, "wouldn't the cameramen be the chaperone"? lol.

In the beginning when they walked into the church together (with Joy) and everyone was so excited to see them I was a little suspicious. I don't know if I missed something but where were they coming from and why did it seem like she hadn't spent the night with her family? Then I saw them finally kiss after they were married and throughout the reception and it was pretty clear that they hadn't had much practice.
I think they're so cute and I do think they'll be very happy together. They just seem so open and comfortable together for a couple that hasn't been together long or had any physical intimacy. I find Jessa and Ben the opposite. They come off kind of guarded and insecure together. I wasn't thrilled that the previews went right into Ben's proposal. Seems like this whole season will be about weddings. Guess that could go on for another 18 seasons though!

I don't think Ben is very comfortable in front of the cameras, and Jessa is a very guarded serious person to begin with.
I felt very sorry for Derek with regards to his mom, especially since they lost his father a few years back, very sad.
While the chaperone thing isn't for me, I think whatever works for them works for them... Though I do find JB kinda creepy, I think Michelle is often rolling her eyes at him.

I totally agree with you!
Maybe but I don't see them sprinting out of the ceremony to have their first moment of privacy.  I just like that Jill and Derick don't seem to care what anyone else thinks.

She never left him for a minute and they did walk in together and they spent the entire day with one another, not just her family for her last few hours before being married.
