3 resorts, can't decide!
This is for our honeymoon next April. Think we have it down to these 3, any feedback helpful!! All are All-inclusives.
1) Secrets Wild Orchid - Montego Bay, Jamica. Seems more romantic, low-key, first class everything. 9 restaurants, 5 bars. Would not leave resort.
2) Breathless Punta Cana, DR - We would have a swim-up room here. Seems like the party here is all day and night! Looks like a place to let lose and go a little nuts. Only year old, beds on beach, nightly shows. Wouldn't leave resort.
3) Dreams Sugar Bay, St. Thomas - I wanted to go to this island to go to the aquarium and swim with the sea lions! But resort just is getting taken over by Dreams in November. Kids allowed, less restaurants and bars (I think 3 of each) so not much variety. But I really want those sea lions! But that is only 1 hour of 1 day.
So torn!

3 resorts, can't decide!
What about a different resort on St. Thomas? I recently went to a wedding at Frenchmans Reef (Marriott) on St. Thomas and it was very nice (but we were only at the resort for a day - we were on a cruise but the couple got off the ship to get married at this resort).
A couple of years ago we stayed at Dreams in LaRomana - it was nice and we had a good time, but it was a family trip and the resort was more family oriented than romantic

If I didn't have to have my kids with me I would go where there were NO kids haha so I vote 1 or 2 automatically!

In St.Thomas, you can go other places on the Island if you are bored of the restaurants & you can take a ferry to St.John.

Re: 3 resorts, can't decide!
Like others have said I would consider adults only for a honeymoon. The beaches in Punta Cana are gorgeous! I don't know anything about Breathless so I can't offer you anything more on the place. I've been to Secrets in Jamaica and stayed at the preferred club in Wild Orchid. St James and Wild Orchid are basically the same resort. The preferred pool is smaller at WO. Most of the restaurants are at the end on the WO side. But it wouldn't be a far walk if you stayed at St James. I've been to a few other Secrets Resorts in Mexico and always loved them.

If you really want to go to St Thomas why not look at St John. The hotels are amazing and its a quieter island in general. Has amazing restaurants and you can take a quick ferry to St john or the BVIs.

I agree with this. Also, look at Anguilla if you haven't already. Gorgeous beaches. Fantastic restaurants. Super nice people and it does not attract many families with children.

I like secrets but didn't like Jamaica. I say go with the DR, esp as it's a new property.
