When is tax free week for back to school shopping? (clothes/shoes etc)?

They don't do that anymore unfortunately. All clothing purchases under like $110 are exempt from a percentage of the tax rate though...all the time. I forget exactly how much. I think you pay like 4% instead of 8.75%

New York — Currently, the state of New York has not scheduled a tax-free holiday, however, New York City does not charge tax on apparel and shoe purchases that cost less than $110 per item.
