Tori Amos at the Beacon!
I'm so EFFING excited for this show!
I was stalking and stalking for good seats to be released for awhile and finally scored some the other night.
I love Tori so, so much. The attachment I have to her music is indescribable. I'm actually tearing up right now at the idea of seeing her in concert...I only saw her once, and it wasn't a full concert, just a small studio at WNYW and she played about six songs - which was an incredible experience, but to see her in the theatre is going to be a whole different experience.
Anyone else going?

I would be so starstruck if I met her, and I don't get like that ever! I would totally be like Wayne and Garth...I'm not worthy!
August 12 and 13...I'm going on the 12th. :)

I saw her at CW Post for her Under The Pink tour. I will never forget it. Little Earthquakes is one of my favorite albums.

I was there!!! I still have the t-shirt!!!
When I saw her at park slope (where I was living at the time), she must have been staying there with a friend for a few days, because I kept seeing her. It was so crazy. I finally worked up the nerve to approach her.
I was 22, nervous and not totally sure if it was actually her, so I asked her "Has anyone ever mistaken you for tori Amos?"
She gave me this big smile, paused and said "well... I've been told I look like her. But I wouldn't say I have been mistaken for her."
I asked "ARE you her?"
She smiled again and shook her head. She said she would walk with me where I was going though! It was so obviously her, but I think she wanted to lay low. I said "I wish you were her, because I would love to meet her"
She asked "what would you say to her if I WAS her?"
I said how much she helped me get through an awful time in my life, how much her music meant to me, how grateful I was for her. She smiled and said "I'm sure she would appreciate hearing that."
It was the most surreal and magical moment of my life!

I got Little Earthquakes as a gift for my 17th birthday...I turn 39 on Sat! It's still my favorite of all time.
I've seen her countless times in concert...I love her. I have to admit that I haven't loved any of her CD's from the past 10 years or so, she lost me after From the Choirgirl Hotel a little....but I will always love her.
It's weird....people either love her or hate her.

little earthquakes was a HUGE part of my teen years. Hell, I still listen to the entire album every so often. To Venus and Back as well
