Hospital Bag
What is one thing (or more than one thing) you were so happy to have in your hospital bag when you gave birth? Putting my list/bag together and feel like I'm going to miss something.

Re: Hospital Bag
I don't think I had one thing that was a stand out item but I was pretty happy to have a giant bath towel, my makeup bag, hair ties/gel and comfy lounge wear. My most important item would have been my camera! I took tons of pictures

Yes, the flip flops and the chargers! Those are necessities!

Re: Hospital Bag
My robe and my phone (with charger!) Definitely pack less than what you think you need. You can always send someone home for more.

Chap stick. My lips were so dry from the oxygen mask they kept making me wear.

Phone charger and a hair brush.
Everything else is really just bonus. I went into labor unexpectedly so my parents just brought me a hodge podge of stuff. And I didn't use the vast majority of it, to be honest.

In addition to what everyone else said - a pacifier if you plan on using them (not sure where you are delivering but Lij doesn't give them out) and if you're having a girl a hair bow/headband. The nurses kept calling dd a boy

Re: Hospital Bag
I had a c section so it was hard to get up and move around at first and you have to bring the iv with you, so I liked having those face wash wipes. I helped me feel clean and was something I could use while in bed.

Re: Hospital Bag
A giant cup with a straw. (I like Tervis) You have to drink sooooo much water and the hospital cups are tiny and smell like plastic. Also- for me- a sleeping mask was essential.

Pretty pusher gown. I wore it during labor and delivery. I feel like hospital gowns are also falling off. This fit great.

Re: Hospital Bag
For me - flip flops for the shower and nice slippers for the room bc I didn't want my socks or feet on the ground and then in my bed, ya know?
My IPOD and little docking station to play music.
My own motrin which I smuggled lol bc the nurses didn't want to give me more motrin as often as I needed it - they can only do a certain amount, over a certain time period -- yet they kept offering me RX pain meds. I didn't want any RX - just motrin! So, I brought my own bottle and supplemented. The funny part was the idea came from my doctor
A zip up cotton, light hoodie - it was always chilly in the hospital.
For the baby - the boppy was nice to have so I could swaddle him, keep him on the bed with me bc all he did was sleep - and not have to have him in the hospital bassinet on wheels -- and it helped a lot when feeding him bottles and stuff. It was nice.
I also brought newborn socks for him - I wanted him to have socks or booties on his feet. I also brought his own swaddles and some blankets just to wrap him in a little something from home. :)

Yes! I can't live without my camelbak water bottle and I remember having to refill those little cups constantly. Should have brought it with me.
Black yoga pants to hold in all your accessories down there (tucks, ice packs, pads, etc).

OMG, yes! Trying to get Motrin was next to impossible, yet they offered the heavy duty pain killers every time they checked in on me. I had my sister bring me up a bottle!
