Mediterranean cruise
Next year will be my ten year anniversary. I can't believe how fast time flies. Dh and I were thinking of taking a trip. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Mediterranean cruise
Loved our cruise! The Norwegian epic has a Mediterranean cruise and the ship is beautiful.
We left from Barcelona so we flew in a few days ahead of time to get over the jet lag and explore the city. Then it went to Monte Carlo, Florence, Rome, amalfi coast and Mallorca. Back to Barcelona. Then we booked our flight back with an overnight layover in Amsterdam. Awesome trip.
You should know that Florence and Rome are really far from the ports you actually dock at. Book excursions through the cruise line.

Re: Mediterranean cruise
I went on Princess in 2011. It was a 12 ( not 10) day cruise--we loved it. I would have spent more time in Barcelona & Venice (before/after) if we had time.
We left for Barcelona 2 nights before and arrived on the morning of the day before the cruise. We had abut a day & half there & then the cruise went to Monaco, Florence, Rome, Naples, Mykonos, Athens, Istanbul Kusadasi (Turkey) and Venice.
We mostly did ship excursions, but had time to explore on our own in most places.
Let me know if you have any specific questions.
Also-Barcelona is beautiful & there is a lot to see & do, so if you decide against a cruise, you could just go there.

Re: Mediterranean cruise
Thank you both so much. I think we are looking for a seven day cruise. But you gave me something to think about. Perhaps we tack on a side trip after the cruise.

Re: Mediterranean cruise
With or without the kids?
With the kids, I would definitely pick Disney or NCL.

Re: Mediterranean cruise
Can do go longer than 7? I think the week long for Europe seems too short and rushed vs a 7 day Caribbean. If it just you two, celebrity or RCCL are nice.

Re: Mediterranean cruise
Just the two of us. I think the cruise part would be a week and then stay over somewhere for a few days.
