Summer plans

What does everyone have planned for this summer? So far we are doing 1 night at Sesame Place, and we rented a house for a week on Martha's Vineyard. Those will be our trips for this year.
I also want to do Advenure land for the 1st time. Take a trip to the aquarium in Norwalk, CT. I would like to get to Manhattan one day, and the beach a few times. Lots of after dinner trips for ice cream, BBQ's with family & friends, & maybe a trip to White Post Farms.
My boys, 3 yrs & 15 months, will continue going to daycare 2 days a week. I am also doing a My Gym class with my younger DS, & my 3 yr old will do swimming lessons & a pro soccer kids class on Saturday mornings.
What does everyone else have planned? I am so excited for the laid back days of the next 2 months! Chat Icon

Re: Summer plans

So far we have planned the beach, pool, swimming lessons, trips to adventureland and the zoo. I'm due with #3 later this summer so we are taking it easy this year.

Re: Summer plans

We just got back from a week in Florida. Going to Williamsburg for a week in July. Going to Aruba for 5 nights with DH and the end of July. Aside from that, lots of play dates, trips to the zoo, Lake Compounce, the poll, the beach. I'm hoping for a couple if overnighters thrown in too.

Re: Summer plans

DD will be one later this summer so I'm trying to do things but keeping in mind she is still little.

We are doing a six week Mommy and Me class and taking advantage of some of the local library programs. Beach, pool, sprinkler park day(s). Maybe the LI Children's Museum (although I've heard mixed things). A day out East, most likely Sag Harbor based on recommendations from here. White Post Farms and maybe another farm for seasonal fruits picking. An aquarium, maybe Norwalk, CT, since we lived there for a bit and a good seafood restaurant in the area afterwards. The Nautical Mile in Freeport to just walk around on a nice day and grab lunch. Maybe some trial classes at Gymboree and the Little Gym. We've already done some festivals, including my church's. Hopefully, some bbqs and introducing DD to all the summer goodness, like ice cream!!

No real big trips planned. Probably a quick weekend on the Cape for DH's family friend's 80th bday at the end of August; maybe a quick overnight in Mystic in September. I wanted to do a day in Fire Island but not sure I'm ready for that with DD right now.

A couple of trips to visit family and friends, hoping to take DD to the beach and water park, picnics, dog parks with the pooch, library, zoo, baby yoga, pool dates with friends... That's all we have planned right now.

Pretty much nothing. I really am not one to plan. We'll do whatever strikes us.
I work FT so it's pretty much the same as any other time of year .

Re: Summer plans

Ds won tickets to the camelbeach water park from radio Disney so we plan on going there. I never win anything so it was incredibly exciting.

We are also going to great wolf lodge as ds birthday party, with family.

I would like to go to some fairs and festivals.

We have have a community pool so we go there a lot.

We are trying to figure out our vacation plans and hope to firm them up this weekend. We are planning on driving to Niagara Falls and Toronto.

Exactly this, except I'm a SAHM & DH works full time, so still the same as the rest of the year. We don't overly plan. DD has dance class as her only scheduled activity. She's 3, & I have a 3 month old. I plan to pool hop at my parents & SIL pools, and do beach & park days. Rainy days we'll stay home & play. But nothing set in stone.

Re: Summer plans

Wow you guys do a lot!!

We did strawberry picking, harbes farm, game farm, sesame/please touch museum overnight. We usually just do 1-2 overnight or 2 night trips per year until they are older and then we may do Disney. We just had burgers got lunch outside all together for the first time. That was an event lol.

This summer we are just doing family bbqs, some play dates, maybe a day trip to greenport. DH works weekends which is when I'm off so we usually just have sat day to do things.
