Throwing up threw nose- reflux??
My dd has spit up a little in the past but in this last week she has spit up a lot when burping and tonight she threw up so much it was coming out her nose and she could not catch her breath and she started to look blue. It was the scariest moment. She is 3 months old but was actually born 3 months early. Thinking this is reflux?? She gets the hiccups a lot also- not sure if related. Anyone experience this??

Does she cry when she spits up? Does it smell acidic?

I am not sure. I was thinking she was just over eating so did not think twice but tonight was a while new ball game. She is not crying a lot if she is bc i would remember that. I am a nervous wreck to feed her now

Re: Throwing up threw nose- reflux??
It could be reflux. That happened twice to my son and I called 911 one day because he was purple and having trouble breathing. It was reflux for him. Hold her upright for 20-30 minutes after eating. That helped a lot. And he was on reflux meds at 5 weeks, but it needed to be adjusted when he gained weight..

Throwing up threw nose- reflux??
My dd did this and it was reflux... it happened a quite a few times and its sooo scary! Eventually what worked for her was zantac. We tried quite a few reflux meds before one truly worked for her long term Axid worked short term them suddenly stopped working. It can be frustrating till you find what works.but dont be discouraged. They eventually outgrow it.

My DD did this. It was the scariest thing!! It was reflux. She was on axid, but I feel like I should have pushed for zantac although the gastro said her reflux wasn't bad enough for it (she wasn't colicky). She outgrew it around 3 months.

Throwing up threw nose- reflux??
This happened with my dd once or twice when she was around 2-3 months. I have no clue what caused it - she doesn't have reflux. She's 16 months old now and aside from those two times that was it. It's very scary, I flipped her over and patted her back to help her catch her breath.
