Would you bring a 3 year old to a wake?
My cousins are coming up from Florida with their kids (ages 2-7) so they will all be at the wake.
I never bring DD to wakes or funerals just because she almost 3 & asks way too many questions 
I haven't seen my cousins in years & I'd l kinda like to bring her so we can all be together with our kids but I don't know if it's a good idea. They aren't going to be in town so that will probably be the only time we'll see each other.

In that situation I might but only if there was another room that could accommodate them. I would not allow my child to go into the wake itself.

Yes... My son (4.5) has been to more funerals than I can remember. A lot of funeral homes have a sitting room for people. I think it is "good" to have kids at things like this.. I know I have never had a family tell me that he was disruptive or that I should have left him home..

I am not worried about them seeing a body in a casket but it depends on who's wake it is. Immediate family, yes, I will take my kids to the wake. If it's for a friend or a distant relative, the kids can stay home.

check the funeral home. The one we just had DH grandfathers at had a playroom for kids.

If the only reason you avoid them is because she asks too many questions I would bring them. I think a LO observing a dead body and asking a lot of questions is very healthy in an appropriate manner is extremely healthy.

Normally I wouldn't but in that case I think I would. Just try to be prepared for the questions and how you'll handle them!
