Cows milk
My DD is 9.5 months and still EBF. She is on the small side weighing only 17lbs. I have been offering table foods on occasion but with little success. I know she is too young for cows milk, but I wanted to try pastina and cheese sauce. The cheese sauce is predominately cows milk and cheese. Should I substitute the cows milk for BM or use cows milk? She is fine with whole milk yogurt but this might be too much?

Has she had cheese yet at all? If not, I might try that first but either way it's probably fine. They can have different reactions to milk, cheese, and yogurt and also different reactions to cooked versus uncooked dairy.
DD has a whey allergy so she is fine with yogurt and would be okay with a cooked cheese sauce but not plain cheese or straight cow's milk. My ped was fine with any table food at that age but it was difficult for me to figure out what her allergy was once we started with things that had so many new ingredients.

If she's good with mozzarella then she should be fine! Things made with milk are fine, just not a cup of straight cow's milk yet.
