for DH every year I do "DAD" pictures. The first year I did it, I bought a 3-picture frame. Then, I bought wooden letters D-A-D from Michaels or AC Moore. So every year, I take DS outside and take pictures of him holding each letter- I do different spots or poses to make it more interesting LOL. so then DH has the pictures on his desk

for grandfathers- I know you said you did mugs last year... were they the travel mugs? I bought the grandparents travel mugs last year with DS's picture on them from shutterfly, and they all love them- my parents use theirs all the time, carry them around to show off their grandson HAHA
keychains with pictures are also a cute idea.
are any of them into gardening or planting? Michaels sells ceramic pots and paints for them... I had DS put his handprints on a pot for my mom and MIL for mother's day this year. that might be cute for fathers day, too and maybe put a "manly" plant in there, like a tomato plant or something haha
