Do you think arriving at 12:20 for a 3:45 Disney cruise is too tight?

I would book the earlier flight or stay the night before, I would be too worried about delays and missing the cruise.

Ditto... Do you really want to start your vacation worrying about missing the ship?!?! Not worth it

DO NOT do it. Sail away isn't until 5 but you must be on the ship by 3:45 all aboard and certainly for the 4:30 muster drill. It's not worth the stress. For my first cruise we took a 6am flight that got in at 9 and using Disney transport we were on the ship by 12:30. HOWEVER we came close to missing our floght due to security and it was just WAY too stressful. We were also tired from having been up at 4. For our most recent cruise we flew in after work the night before (8:30 flight) and stayed right at teh MCO Hyatt. it's IN the airport. I love the Hyatt because it's right there and they actually collect your bags from your room and they magically appear outside your stateroom. It was SO much mor relaxing. Even though we got in late, we got to relax at the hotel, have a nice breakfast and get to the port more rested. You also want to get on the ship fairly early so you can enjoy it, especially on a shorter cruise.

Another option if you must fly in the day of is to book your air through Disney Cruise Line. if you book air through DCL, then they take responsibility for getting you to the ship on time. They may even hold the boat if enough people are on delayed flights booked through them.

Also I wanted to add that if you go this route, do NOT have Disney handle your luggage from your flight to the ship. A woman I met on our cruise had a same day flight, and some of her baggage didn't make the ship. She had to wear clothes from the gift shop.

The huge positive of going same day was getting our luggage at our stateroom.

I am thinking this trip is not happening in 3 weeks.

Are you getting a great rate? I've booked DCL as soon as 9 days before when getting a good VGT rate.

Everything is already booked so no turning back. We are sailing in 2 weeks. Flights were not cheap (for Orlando). I picked the 845 flight we could wake up at 7 and not some ridiculously early time. We live 15 min from the airport and will not check in luggage. We are staying in a deluxe verandah room on the 10th deck on Dream.

This isn't a huge trip for us. It is just a 4 day long weekend. We will fly in day of and fly out the day we dock.

Me too! I would be a wreck thinking I might miss the boat if something happened with my flights.
