I know this has been posted before....RSVP related
3 weeks ago I invited my DS class to his party there are 12 kids in the class and only one parent has rsvp'd (no) and his party is on Sunday. I put this past Sunday down as the RSVP date.
I'm so upset about it and don't understand how rude people can be. Anyway, would it be rude if I wrote a letter from me to them (DS' teacher will put in folders) asking the, if they received the invite and if they are going. I lost the class list. I currently have 8 kids going but that includes my ds and dd. most of the kids going are friends kids.
I need to guarantee 10 (it's at adventure land).
Needless to say, this will be the last year for parties. Way to much stress.

I don't think it would be rude at all. I know I have been guilty of totally flaking on responding and when I've gotten a reminder, I called immediately to apologize and respond. (I do try really hard not too - but it happens.)
It seems so weird that so many people don't respond though.
Good luck! And happy birthday to your DS!

not rude at all! we did the same thing (RSVP date is 5/10) and I've only heard from about 1/3 but its been 2+ weeks.
I would have the teacher slip a note in! Are you friends with any on FB? Or do you pass any at dropoff/pick up? Ask them! I've actually gotten more RSVPs from FB and drop/pickup then over the phone.

Not rude at all. In fact I think they are rude for not even acknowledging receiving the invite. How hard is it to RSVP?!?
