Re: Does it get better at 4?
Not sure if I would say it gets better, but the challenges you'll face will probably change. 4 is tricky, because they are wanting so badly to be independent, but still can't do a lot of things they want to do on their own. So, I found a lot of frustration around this age. But, on the up side, the temper tantrums tend to slow down because you can sort of rationalize with them more.

Re: Does it get better at 4?
The start of 3 was bad...real bad.
3.5 has been great!! What a difference in those 6 months.

3 was bad for me but I have to tell you that every age has it ups and downs.

Does it get better at 4?
I found 4 to be worse than 3. DS has gotten more defiant and more fresh.

Re: Does it get better at 4?
DD just turned 4 last week and has been horrible the last few days! Not listening, saying no all the time.
Last night and this morning was a nightmare with her.

Re: Does it get better at 4?
DS is 3.5 and boyyyy does he give us a run for our money! I think he skipped the terrible 2's because he didn't start talking until he turned 3. Now that he is a chatterbox, he has become so oppositional and defiant about everything. We tell him to do something, he does the opposite. Everything is no, no, no. His preschool teachers are seeing it too, so I know it's all about "testing" authority and seeing what he can get away with. But man... if I wasn't pregnant right now, I'd be drinking a bottle of wine every night!!
Reallllly hoping 4 will be better for us. Wishful thinking maybe!

Not even a little. Three was a picnic compared to 4.

Re: Does it get better at 4?
3 was horrible. DS is 4.5 now and he's a lot better. I'm really looking forward to 5 though...
