2 kids & napping

DS will be 26 months when new baby arrives. Luckily he has always been a great napper/sleeper & on a schedule since 4-5 months old. Still takes 1.5 to 3 hr long naps a day. When new baby starts to get on schedule how can I get them to nap around same time? Not looking for exact same time but maybe an hour overlapping nap would be great. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Oh yes! This was my biggest question and I've nailed it DD was 32 months when DS arrived. I can count on one hand the number of times I haven't had at least 30 minutes of overlap. She naps for about 2 hours in the 1:00-4:00 range. When he was super little and doing random, then three naps a day there was some overlap here and there. Now that he does 2 naps, his afternoon nap overlaps with hers at least an hour everyday and it's HEAVEN!

In fact, they're overlapping right now :) She's 3.5 years old and he's almost 11 months.

I was able to get my younges on a 10 am and 1 PM nap schedule . My older one would nap at 1. It takes time. But that was the best way to do it. Then when she went down to one nap, they both went down at 1.

My daughter was 27 months old when DD2 came along. I think I had about a week when she would nap around the same time as the baby, but then she decided to give her nap up completely! Hope you have better results! What I would give.....
