New nanny starting and I have questions..
Is it crazy to leave a notebook to have her write in it each day what goes on as far as what my kids eat if they use bathroom etc??
I just feel like I should know these things and I'm sure I won't remember to ask her everyday especially cause when I get home she'll be gone.
And she can write things like of something happened, us know not every hour what went on but important things.
What do u girls think?

I have a dry erase board up in my kitchen. I wrote the kids names on the top with lines running down the length of the board the separate the names. I write in directions for each kid. The nanny will fill in nap and feeding times,
toileting info etc... It. Works really well for both of us and is easy to use. There is no confusion because all directions and info are up on the board. It's mounted to the wall so it's never lost or misplaced.

Nope, I make "dailies" for each kid and ask her to write down meal times, naps, and any notes for me.

New nanny starting and I have questions..
I was a full time nanny for 17 years. Always recorded daily things in a notebook. Now that I have my own I do not write anything down. One day runs into the next lol.

My friend leaves her ipad out and has her input it into an app and then it goes to her and her DH phone!

My nanny always writes down what happens. Regarding feeding, etc. they she gives me a daily text of how the day was.

Totally fine. I have a notebook I leave out for the nanny. Everyday she writes what time DS naps, has bottles, food and dirty diapers. When he was younger I paid really close attention to it. Now I kind of just reference it if I wonder something specific - like DS seems extra cranky at night, I check to see how long his naps were during the day.

I leave out the notebook -- she writes the times he eats/what he eats, when he naps, and if he does #2
She will also usually leave a little note about the day and how it went :)
I love this notebook -- you can go through and see how DS has progressed
When i was on maternity I exclusively used baby connect app to monitor his feedings, poopy diapers, etc. It was awesome, so I could see # of ounces he was eating etc. But my nanny doesnt have iphone so the notebook works better now. :)
