Re: to replace or not to replace
My son was 4 when one of our fish died. We had two in the tank. It didn't phase him one bit.. I said it went to be with its friends..

Re: to replace or not to replace
We had 2 goldfish this summer that didn't make it. DD was a little over 2.5 and really excited about--named them Gil and Deema from Bubble Guppies. They both died within two weeks of each other. She asked where they were and I just told her that they didn't make it. She seemed to accept it and went on like nothing happened. She still asks about them now at 3 but isn't sad about it. I'm not sure if she would've taken it harder or asked more questions at 3.
