When did your kid start using a sippy with a straw
DD is 15 months and uses the take and toss cups and these soft spout sippies by munchkin. I tried some straw sippie cups (a nuby one which was horrible, and a munchkin one which is fine but I hate washing all these pieces) is there an easier one that's easier to clean maybe?

5.5 months.
Playtex are only 2 pieces. Tommy tippee are 4. I don't like munchkin or nuby at all. To hard to get the liquid out of.

We did the playtex ones that you can squeeze (short ones with handles) when she was about 6 mos. and she got the hang of it around 9 mos. we now use either the bigger playtex ones or the take n toss. We never did sippys, just went right to straw.

I just got My dd the thermos foogo and it is wonderful!!! I have the stainless steel straw cup. I used the take and toss for prob 6 months or so but I'm so happy that the thermos' don't leak and drinks stay cold. It's also very easy to clean!

We just started, 7 1/2 mos. I am using straw Nuby and no issues but am going to try some of the others recommended on here.

We used Playtex and gave it to both our boys around 5/6 months. They were both around 10 months when they really "got it" though.

She really didn't like any of the straw cups (I tried giving them to her on/off after she turned 1, but none of them was "the one"). She loves her Thermos.

We introduced it at 9 months, started with the little grippers straw cup and then switched around 13 months to the munchkin flip top straw cup and he's been drinking from that ever since.

About that age - btw 13-15m. She actually started with the straw - we skipped the spout cup completely. I started with this one - I could squeeze the liquid up.

my ped recommends starting the straw cup at 6 months, and we were told the baby should master it no later than 12 months.

Playtex grippers. Started at 9 months. Never used anything bt straws and she drinks from reg cups with reg straws.

This at 5.5 months (last week) even though she just tries to bite it at this point its getting her used to it as she does not take a bottle (ebf)
