Speaking of walking....
How old was your child when?
1. He or she walked while holding onto something? (couch, walker toy, etc.)
2. Walked completely independently?

Re: Speaking of walking....
I can answer #1......Ava started walking holding onto things at about 9 1/2 months. Hopefull, she'll be walking on her own soon although I'm not really in a rush for her to do that......she's already ripping my house apt. I'm scared to see what she will do when she is fully walking!

Re: Speaking of walking....
He did both pretty much at the same time. He's been walking unassisted for about 2 weeks now

Re: Speaking of walking....
Gabriella -
late 9 months and took her first step at 11.5 months but didn't walk without resorting to crawling until 12.5 months.
Gianni-
Cruising at 7 months, no first step yet. He's 9 months today.
I think usually the earlier the baby does something, the longer they take to get independent doing it. Gabriella just decided one day to start and progressed quickly, while my good friend has a daughter the same age (they are two days apart) and she was cruising very early, too, and they started walking at the same time. I'm seeing the same thing with Gianni....I pray he doesn't walk any time soon.
