How much should a two week old eat?
My son is two weeks old and I have been formula feeding him. He left the hospital eating 11/2-2oz every three hours. The dr said to give him as much as he wants.
Now he is averaging 3.5-4oz every three hours. Is this too much?

How much should a two week old eat?
As long as he is eating it, keeping it down and not getting an upset stomach i think you should feed on demand. my ds ate 2 oz's every 2 hours for the first two weeks, and then moved up to 3 oz's every 3 hours.

We moved up to 4oz every 3 hours quickly and then he stayed there for along time. As pp said as long as not spitting it up baby is fine. You can't over feed.

Give whatever they want. There is no RIGHT amount. every single kid out there is different.
