I wish I could coupon I just don't have the patience. I feel like I spend too much on our food shopping for myself, DH and DS. I meal plan for the week and always have a list but I buy organic meats, dairy and veggies and that sh!t is expensive!! How much do you spend per week and how many in your family?
Eta: we spend about 150

I spend about 150-200 as well but thats usually every 2 weeks on major atuff but then will replace some everyday items (milk bread etc) week to week. I feel i spend too much also. But i dont have the time to sit and lookat ads for supermarkets and then go to different ones for sale items. I dont mind coupons i love them and use them when i can. Like you we eat all organic and healthy foods. We eat out twice a week.
Were a family of 3 and my dh is a big eater. He would not survive on pb & j

Since I started doing weekly meal plans, I've been spending around $40-80 a week on groceries. I do one big meat shop at the butcher once a month and that is usually around $80 also. We are a family of 3.

Re: Spin off to couponing
We are a family of 3 and spend on average - $150 a week. I try to clip coupons and only buy sale items, but stuff just adds up. I cringe when we're at the check out line. I feel like we spend way too much.

We are a family of 3 but DS is too young to really eat our dinners so it's more like a family of 2 when it comes to food shopping.
I do a peapod order every other week and it is usually $100-150. I try to ONLY shop on sale items. I am going to join BJs for our meats so I can buy that in bulk. But first I want to make EVERYTHING in my freezer before having to try and make room.

Re: Spin off to couponing
We just cut our budget down to $75/week for 3 of us. That isn't just food though - it includes all toiletries, make-up, paper products etc.
I am a very big couponer and just a big fan of cutting expenses any way we can (ie I use rags now to clean instead of paper towels - except for kitchen/bath - cut down our paper towel usage big time)
ETA - this is for 3 meals a day and snacks - we don't eat out and DH packs a lunch.

Family of 3 and it ranges between $75-$125 a week. This is not strictly food since it includes diapers, paper goods, toiletries, etc. though.
