valentines for school

My kid's school (well, actually the class teacher) just emailed us that it is tradition for the kids in the class to bring in valentines for the whole class (24 kids) & that they will exchange them on Friday.

Questions:
1. What kind of valentines do people do? The little cards with kids' names on them? Candy? Maybe both (like a kitkat taped to a card?)?

2. My kid is in school M,T,W. He is included in the class count. I should probably have this stuff for tomorrow... so not too much DIY.

TIA. I love last minute emails!Chat Icon

I would just get those boxed valentine cards and throw some stickers in for each kid.

valentines for school

Most of the boxed valentines these days have something extra in them (tattoos, stickers, erasers)

I got DS Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with erasers.

Re: valentines for school

I was going to do the bags of gold fish too but when dd was shopping with my mom she picked out those little boxes of heart candys. so looks like thats what she is going to give out.

we got letters when we got our monthly calender. it said do not address it to each child , just to put who its from. Only bring if theres enough for the whole class. Which obviously i would have done but i guess in the past kids were left out.

Re: valentines for school

DS goes to nursery school Mondays and Tuesdays, so he had his party yesterday.
I cut out paper hearts from red construction paper, wrote "You're WRITE on!! Happy Valentine's Day!", and put a pencil with them. Took me about 30 minutes to do, and came out cute Chat Icon

most of them that he got were the ones from a box with characters on them- they were all really cute, too.

one mom in his class took a Twinkie and had a print-out to make them look like a Minion (from despicable me) and it said "You're one in a MINION"- that was cute Chat Icon
