Eric Carle books! Hungry Caterpillar, Busy Spider, Lonely Firefly, Brown Bear, Brown Bear & Polar Bear, Polar Bear are huge hits w/ my DD. We got her Papa, Please Get The Moon for Christmas.
Also, The Maisy Series...she loves Maisy's Bedtime! We must read that and Goodnight Moon every night before bed.
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom (a recent favorite!)
She's a little young, but the Laura Numeroff "If you give a mouse a pancake" and all the spinoffs are also good. DD likes me to read them, but is a little young to really get them.
ETA: My DD was 2 in June.

My 19 months old absolutely loves the No, David books by David Shannon. She also loves
Sam Who Never Forgets

Chicka Chicka boom boom
Little critter books
and any big book with a billion little flaps

We love all that are mentioned above, but we also love Todd Parr books. They are so cute and easy for kids to understand.

DD's favorites are:
-Moo Baa La La La
-Quack
-Where's Spot? (and other lift the flap books, but ESPECIALLY this one)
-Hugs and Kisses
-Oh My Oh My Oh Dinosaurs
-That's Not My Bunny (and other touch and feel books, but ESPECIALLY this one)
-Bunny and Bear
-Clap Hands
-Say Goodnight
Some of my own favorites to read to her are:
-The Very Hungry Caterpillar
-We're Going On A Bear Hunt
-Bear Snores On
-Bear Has A Story to Tell
-Owen and Mzee
Plus, we get the highlights magazine and read that together. She LOVES those!!!!
