Holiday Wish List

I know a few people in my family that are. It's definitely easier on the people who have to buy. Are you creating one for your child this holiday?

Absolutely. I used to think they seemed obnoxious until my older DS' first Christmas. My in laws bought him a Home Depot tool kit that blatantly said choking hazard, not for children under 3 years of age. He was 8 months old. Then, they complained I wasn't allowing him to use it.

Now, I make a wish list and when they ask what to get him, I give them the list.

I don't make a Toys R Us one but, I give out suggestions to those who ask (well, now at almost 4, he too can give out suggestions).

Yes I do. DD's b-day is a couple weeks after X-mas so I find it so much easier to tell my family to check the list. Plus they can see what has already been purchased.

Already made it on Amazon, actually, and sent it to the Grandparents.

I made one on amazon. My brother and sil asked if we had one and said it would be easier for them. So I made one for each girl and sent it to all the aunt & uncles.

We make wish lists on Amazon. You can add things from other sites with the Universal wish list button.

It makes it so much easier for our OOS families since they don't know what my kids are into or what they currently have.

My MIL requested one for me, boy did I have fun with that!

yes make one its for her bday and xmas since they are with weeks of each other. I dont give it out unless asked and i use it to track what i get her. I use the same one each year. i just add and delete fromi it. i use amazon since you can add things from other sites.

ETA: i wish everyone did wish lists it makes it so much easier to get a present

I learned the hard way when well meaning family members purchased age inappropriate things to make lists for them.

I keep one on Amazon for DD all the time. When I come across something she'd like, I add it. It's more for me to keep track of things for her, but some people do buy her gifts from it for Christmas and her birthday.

I do for both of my girls. There are too many people who constantly ask what to get my kids. It makes it so much easier for everyone to look and choose what they want to get and see whats been bought already. My mother and mother-in-law will still buy things not on the list but it makes it easier to keep track. Also, with TRU, you have the option to go in and mark something as purchased even if it wasn't purchased at TRU. This has worked out great for my family finding better prices elsewhere.
