Is this ok
I teach dance and I have two preschool classes tomorrow. I am planning on being a day of the dead person for a partying Saturday and would love to do a trial run with the makeup. Do you think it would completely freak out the kids? My eyes will be a bluish/purplish mix. I will ave the traditional white face and stitch mouth. It's actually pretty, but I don't want the kids to be scared.

Re: Is this ok
I would't do it. I used to look after the kids backstage at dance recitals and even some of the older kids were SUPER scared of seemingly silly things. I DEF think you will freak some of them out. tears will be shed, it won't be good.

Darn it! That's kind of what I thought too. It just would have been so nice to practice my makeup while both boys were in school. I guess I'll have to do it in the afternoon. I know my kids aren't going to make it easy for me. Lol

I don't think I would it with kids that young. I think you'll definitely freak some of them out. If they were older kids, then maybe.... but for preschoolers, I would dress up as something more "fun" and less scary.

I say no.
The assistant director at daycare this morning was dressed up - nothing scary but, she had a veil from a hat partially covering her face and both of my kids wrapped themselves around my legs when they saw her (usually they smile and speak to her and carry on as normal).
