Not napping at daycare
Any advice on how to handle?
DD is 10 months old. Since day 1, she has not been a good sleeper. Daycare was great at first and got her to sleep in a crib and take naps.
Recently, her naps have really dwindled from 2 (typically 1 hour+ and another for a good 30 mins) to only 1 nap, at MOST 30 mins long. She has also recently started waking up during the night - used to sleep right through. She cried last night 12:30 - 1 when DH finally went in to soothe her.
She fights sleep and just wants to be up and involved in the action. It's hard for us to nap her too but over the weekend, she slept 2 hour nap on Sat and hour+ on Sunday.
Should I say something to daycare about trying to force her to sleep more? Maybe try crying it out in her crib there?
Do you think this could be a stage related to teething? Her first 2 and only teeth broke through the gums about 3 weeks ago.

Not napping at daycare
Is she still in an infant room without a scheduled nap time (I'm assuming it's a daycare center?)? My DS was the same way and was always a terrible napper. But once he moved to the wobbler room in daycare and they had a set nap time (one long nap from 12-3) he was much much better. Now he usually naps 2-3 hours each day without a fight. So maybe if she transitions to a new room in a couple of months with a scheduled nap it will be better.
I doubt they will let her cry it out at daycare because it will disturb the other kids. Around that age I gave DS a lovey to nap with and that seemed to help a little too so maybe you can try that. GL!
