Meds to take before HSG?
My RE gave me a script of a med to take before and after hsg anyone else do this ?

I didn't but was advised to take some Advil beforehand. I never did though...Hated that test.

Yes I was giving doxycycline. It is to prevent infection. The hype of the procedure was worse then it actually was! Good luck!!!!

Same here. I also took 4 advil beforehand.

Meds to take before HSG?
I took four? pills of azithromycin - DH too. Same reason as the other girls who took doxycycline.

Meds to take before HSG?
I don't think they gave me antibiotics. But I did take 2 ibuprofen 1 hour before and 2 ibuprofen half hour before.

Yep that's what I'm taking. 2 days before and two days after plus Advil. I'm not freaking out about test. Water sono hurt like a ***** for me so I'm prepared. Ha!

Sung gave me doxy.
The hsg didn't actually hurt me. I have a blocked tube and still didn't have pain, just cramping more so. Take the advil! Very important to dull the cramping.
The worst part of the hsg is having to lay your legs flat on a table with the speculum in and catheter in.. just awkward and uncomfortable but never had pain. Good luck!!

I wasn't given anything, I did however take two advils right before.
oh, take a sanitary napkin just in case.
