I just bought it!
I did the math and with shipping and handling and tax it would have been almost $200 and I was charged $75!!!

Just ordered one for DD. She's too young for it, but I'll put it away for the future. DH is going to kill me. He's totally against DD getting any American Girl Dolls, but he knows he is overruled by me, my mom, and my sister, who are dying to take her to the store when she's older. Gotta figure out a good way to tell him about this one...

yes! They last a while! And this is a great deal! I haven't decided if I am going to give the doll to my 6 yr old now! Or put it away for another christmas for my 1.5 yr old!

I would get it now and put it away for when your DC is older. We did this for DD. DD received the Rebecca doll for her first hanukkah when she was 2 months old. We put it away until this past Sunday when we went to the American Girl store for her 4th birthday. It was fantastic and better than anything I could have imagined. We had an outstanding time with our family. I got DD Marie Grace last year from the Steals and Deals and she loves it. Just for some perspective when I first looked at AG dolls they were $80 and now the basic doll is $129. They don't go down in price....

My DD is 4 too. She has Marie Grace and we have to brush the hair a lot but she treats the doll very well. She just got Rebecca on Sunday and so far she has been great with that doll as well. My DD is good with her toys and treats her toys well though.

I bought her the same doll last year when they had the deal, and the bed but so far haven't given it to her yet (she is 3.5), I don't know when to give it to her.
