Would you get a boy doll or a gril doll

I plan on giving my almost 3yo DD a doll from her new baby brother when he is born a the hospital. i am debating between getting the girl doll or boy doll. The doll i picked out isnt exactly cheap (its $50) and really the only differnce is the clothes and binky color it comes with niether have any boy or girl parts to it.

I was leaning towards the boy one but then my friend told me her DD rarely plays with her boy doll and always plays with her girl doll so now i am thinking maybe i should just go with the girl doll (though she has tons of them) because for the money i am spending i really would like her to play with it though i know no mater what theres no guranteee she will play with either one

If you are getting her a baby doll, which I think you are based on your description of the binky, I think I would get a boy one.

I would go with the boy doll so she can mimic Mommy with her little brother.
