Does anyone have a Howdy or Rody bouncer?

I am considering these for my neighbor's daughter's first birthday. The reviews on both are good, but it looks like Howdy is a little head-heavy and tips forward a lot. Rody isn't as cute and seems extra bouncy, like maybe for kids a little older than one.

Anyone have either and can share feedback? OR have any other ideas of what I can get a one-year-old for around 40 bucks!
